My Vision!

In my art studio, I create pieces that capture the essence of life around us. Pet portraits are one of my favourite subjects to draw. Each pet has its own unique personality, and I strive to capture that in my artwork. Whether it’s the playful antics of a dog or the regal presence of a cat, I aim to convey the love and companionship they bring into our lives.

When painting pet portraits, I pay close attention to detail, from the texture of their fur to the sparkle in their eyes. Every pencil mark is deliberate, aimed at bringing the subject to life on paper. I want my clients to feel as though their beloved pets are looking back at them from the artwork, evoking fond memories and emotions.

In addition to pet portraits, I also enjoy painting wildlife scenes. Nature is full of beauty and wonder, and I find inspiration in the diversity of species that inhabit our planet. From majestic elephants roaming the savannah to colourful birds flitting through the forest, each creature holds a special place in my heart.

In my wildlife paintings, I aim to capture the spirit of the animal kingdom, conveying the harmony and balance of nature. Whether it’s the raw power of a lioness on the hunt or the gracefulness of a deer bounding through the woods, I seek to evoke a sense of awe and reverence for the natural world.

People portraits are another aspect of my work that brings me joy. There’s something magical about capturing the human spirit on paper, immortalising moments of joy, love, and contemplation. Whether it’s a candid snapshot of a child at play or a formal portrait of a family, each painting tells a story.

When painting people’s portraits, I focus on capturing the nuances of expression and emotion. A subtle smile or a furrowed brow can speak volumes, and I strive to convey those subtle details in my artwork. Whether it’s the warmth of a mother’s embrace or the determination in a father’s gaze, I want my portraits to resonate with authenticity and depth.

In my art studio, I am constantly exploring new techniques and pushing the boundaries of my creativity. Whether I’m painting pet portraits, wildlife scenes, or people portraits, each piece is a labour of love, crafted with care and attention to detail. I hope that my artwork brings joy and inspiration to those who view it, connecting them to the beauty and wonder of the world around us.

St Wulframs Church in Grantham

St Wulfram's Church in Grantham

I had been asked by several stockists of my greetings cards and prints to do local landmarks, so I started with St Wulram's Church. This medieval church is magnificent to view, and boasts one of the highest spires in the country!

A Curious Cow

I recently completed this piece to be included in an art exhibition at Lamport Hall. I love the curious expression on the cow's face as she's chewing on grass! The grass at the bottom was a new one for me, and I really enjoyed the process!

Belton House near Grantham

Belton House, Near Grantham

Here is another in my series of local landmarks. Belton House, near Grantham is now owned by the National Trust, and has beautiful gardens and a huge park where you can spot herds of deer. It is certainly a wonderful place to visit!
Barn Owl Portrait

Barn Owl

I ventured into the world of birds with this piece. I like the quirky pose of this barn owl. Feathers are something I haven't drawn before so this was a particular challenge for me. I think it's turned out well!
